Hello everyone,
We are back once again with some cool content from our dear creators. What best then to check out a new creator and enjoy their game experiences am I right? I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I enjoy writing them
This week is no exception. Let’s skip the chit chat as we dig into our seventh edition of:
A Week A Creator
Let’s begin with a few introductory words from this week’s creator Erica Wagner:
“Hey there! I’m Erica and I’m making the game 3D Print Your Life. You will meet people from different backgrounds requesting items they need to be printed in order to enhance their life. Are you ready for the challenge?"
I sure am ready, and I hope you all are too! Let’s read a bit more about the game experience:
You work for a local 3D printing business and it's your job to fulfill and deliver customer's orders correctly and on time. Along the way, you'll learn how people use 3D printing differently and how it impacts their lives. Manage your time wisely, help the business grow, and change people's lives.
When you combine science with gaming, you open the door for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the educational side of gaming and the fun side of science. With gaming, this also allows for people to experiment with different science fields in a safe and economical way. With science this allows people to discover new things while learning about various subjects in an engaging and non-complicated way.
From 3D printing prosthetics to toys, there are various items customers will order. But not every person uses 3D prints the same way or for its intended purpose.
You’ll work with your boss and coworker but you’ll also meet 15+ NPCs, each with their own stories and orders. Customers won’t always come by the shop to pick up their order, you’ll have to deliver some orders by mail or in person.
3D Printing has been around for several years but only in more recent years has it become more accessible for everyday people to own. With more people owning 3D printers, some are creating new ways of solving problems and others are making new forms of entertainment. People use 3D printing for all kinds of projects and for different reasons and while not everyone has a 3D printer, I hope to introduce this activity to lots of people and give them a glimpse into how people use this medium.
Thank you for reading! As a bonus, here’s a sneak peek of a NPC I’m working on.
Psssssttttt! Wanna see part of the process of this NPC? I got you covered! Watch a timelapse of some of the modeling of this NPC, enjoy:
My interest is fully peaked and I can’t wait to explore this world further
We now all know a little bit more about these amazing NPCs and the gaming experience they will all evolve in; but there’s more: this Thursday September 10th at 13 PM EST - 17PM GMT we will have the chance to have a bonus livestream with Erica where she will be animating and rigging more NPCs! Stay tuned as we announce more info regarding this!
In the meantime you can replay that video again and don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and a small comment of encouragement! I’m sure she’ll appreciate it - I know I would :)
Voilà, that’s it for this edition of A Week, A Creator.
Put that sad face away, I’ll be back before you know it with more content!
Good vibes upon you all,
Amy
This is so awesome Erica! Keep up the good work.
So much thinks that I would like to print!! I'm eager to play this already :)
